Isn't this the same thing as the english "pie", what in Swedish would be (desert)paj? Or maybe the same as in Swedish "paj" - just anything made in the oven with pie dough? Svenji ♥ 24 september 2009 kl. 17.29 (CEST)

It is a pie, but it's not just any pie. A flaaj, or Dutch "vlaai", is a typical Limburgish pie. The Swedish word "paj" would be best translated as "aoveskook/bakkeskook" (lit. cook from the oven) --Ooswesthoesbes 24 september 2009 kl. 18.05 (CEST)
