Genitiv betraktas inte som ett "fall" enligt turkisk grammatik.

Hi Andreas! First, happy new year! No, it's not an incorrect translation. In Turkish there are 5 grammatical cases: nominative, accusative, dative, locative and ablative. The genitive semantically exists in the language, called "tamlayan". But it is not a case, it is a different grammatical structure used for compound noun formation. In Turkish, for example, "kadının evi" means "kvinnans hus" (kadın being kvinna and ev, hus). In Swedish "kvinnans" would correspond to the genitive case, in Turkish "kadın(ın)" is the attributive noun, whereas "ev(i)" would be the head noun.
